Legendary Ray Kittel Tapped As Chief Judge At Motoexpo San Diego

Del Mar, CA ---- Ray Kittel, widely known in the motorcycle world for Ray’s M/C Show World – “the definitive, the essential” – has been selected as chief show judge and bike show event coordinator for the second annual MOTOEXPO SAN DIEGO coming to the Del Mar Fairgrounds, September 27 and 28.

“Ray’s M/C Show World is one of the most respected and trusted names in motorcycle show judging,” says David Arnold, show director, who also notes that the judging team will consist of no less than four judges.

“Ray has been judging bike shows for over 13 years and his management and show judging experience ensure that MOTOEXPO SAN DIEGO will be conducted and judged with all the professionalism that has made Ray’s M/C Show World a respected and trusted name in motorcycling.”

According to Arnold, Ray’s M/C Show World is the premier custom motorcycle show judge in the upper Midwest and that show organizers in more than nine states, including California, have utilized his services. Among the many prestigious events for which he serves as chief show judge and bike show event coordinator is the highly regarded Arlen Ness Bike Show in San Jose. In 2006, Ray’s M/C Show World judged 14 bike show events with cash awards totaling over  $27,000 plus trophies, awards, plaques and contingencies.

Kittel, who has long been associated with motorcycles, served four years of active duty in the United States Coast Guard. He has dedicated a page on his Website to all men and women serving in the Armed Forces lest they “not be forgotten…but remembered for your service and sacrifice for this great country, its democratic ideals and most of all its people.”

“It is important to stress that MOTOEXPO SAN DIEGO is more than just a bike show,” says Arnold. “In addition to stunt riding and a collection of vintage bikes, it will also feature a juried show of customized sports and street cruisers.”

Highlighting the two-day event will be MOTOMASTERS – an invitation only, beyond-the-jury collection of priceless, one-of-a-kind handcrafted motorcycles that epitomize the highest achievement in aesthetics and engineering. Among the first entrants is Christian Dotson’s award-winning bike that won the coveted “America’s Most Beautiful Motorcycle award” at this year’s Los Angeles Roadster Show in Pomona.

Tickets will be available online and at the gate.
